How long can I wear a pad?
Each washable sanitary pad provides dry protection for up to 6 hours out of water, depending on the intensity of your flow.
However, in the water, be aware that the body naturally tends to reduce or even temporarily stop menstrual flow thanks to the water pressure. This is why it is important to change your protection before entering the water to prevent the blood contained in a used protection from spreading.
After getting out of the water, we recommend changing your protection promptly, as your menstrual flow generally resumes within 10 minutes of swimming. This habit also helps limit the risk of infection and ensures optimal protection.
Finally, if the pad is wet when you get out of the water, don't worry: it won't cause a leak, except in the case of very heavy flow. You can then remove it and switch to dry protection quickly and discreetly.
Can Zehnia washable sanitary towels be used at night?
Absolutely! Zehnia reusable sanitary pads are designed to support you both day and night. Thanks to their optimal absorption, they provide effective protection for several hours, whether for daily activities or peaceful sleep.
However, we recommend regularly checking the intensity of your flow in order to adapt the frequency of changing your menstrual protection to ensure comfort and hygiene.
What materials are used in the menstrual kit?
Made in France with OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified materials, our sanitary towels are designed to combine safety, comfort and respect for your skin.
Composition: 30% bamboo viscose, 50% polyamide, 10% elastane, 5% polyurethane, 5% polyester.
Why change your towel immediately after swimming?
Changing your menstrual pad as soon as you get out of the water helps maintain optimal hygiene and prevents the growth of potential bacteria or odors. Thanks to our waterproof pouch, you can transport your used pads discreetly.
Can I use Pure.By Zehnia protection in my own underwear?
Yes! Pure.By Zehnia pads are designed to fit all your underwear .
The Zehnia panty simply allows you to benefit from the same insert (open-sided panty gusset) as that found in our swimsuits, in order to ensure optimal support and avoid any risk of the protection slipping into the panty .

What is the difference between this and regular menstrual underwear?
Classic menstrual panties have an absorbent pad sewn directly inside, which means you have to change your entire panty every 4 to 6 hours (because yes, even if some brands advertise 12 hours of effectiveness, all menstrual protection must be changed every 4 to 6 hours to protect your health ).
The Pure.By Zehnia solution allows you to use your underwear:

The Pure.By Zehnia solution allows you to use your bikini bottoms outside of your period without the protection , during your period with the protection , and to reuse this same protection in your everyday underwear .

What is the difference between high-performance material and organic cotton?
Both materials absorb up to 80 ml (heavy flow). However, the high-performance fabric pad features a special knit that allows even heavy flow to quickly penetrate the pad, thus preventing leaks.
Organic cotton is the material recommended by doctors. However, it lacks any special knitting technique, which can make it take a little longer to dry and feel slightly more damp against the skin.
We created these two materials to allow you to test their advantages and disadvantages:
• high-performance synthetic material (certified free of harmful substances),
• the natural material made of organic cotton.
This way, you can form your own opinion and make a fully informed choice, according to your needs and comfort.

What type of protective material should be preferred in swimsuits?
We have developed our high-performance fabric protection, specifically designed for swimming.
The fabric in contact with the skin has a unique knit , different on the right and wrong sides, allowing for rapid absorption of the flow and accelerated drying of the protection.
This ensures a dry feeling , even in humid or perspiring conditions.
